**ICUs** Critical care, ICU (intensive care units) opportunities.
*Neurosciences ICU (30 bed unit) - 90% nights position open. *Trauma Surgery ICU (24 bed unit) - 90% nights position open. *Burns ICU and Pediatric ICU (18 bed unit) - 90% nights position open. *Medical Cardiac ICU (17 beds unit) - no openings currently, but more could arise at any time. *Critical Care Float Pool - 90% nights position open.

**Acute Care, Med-Surg, Tele**

**CCN - Continuity of Care Program** Current openings area: *per diem. The Continuity of Care Nurse (CCN) coordinates all aspects of care leading to a timely transition to the next level of care for patients on acute care units. The CCN serves as a liaison to patients, families, medical teams, nursing staff, social services, interdisciplinary team members, consulting and referring physicians and agencies involved in the care of patients from admission through the discharge process. The CCN identifies the clinical targets and milestones for discharge and eliminates barriers as needed. The CCN communicates the discharge plan to appropriate team members.Requires min. two years acute care or critical care nursing experience.
** Radiology/Diagnostic Procedures**
Full time, 100% FTE Days position currently open. Also, 75% FTE Days position open. On-call also required. Position responsibilities include:
assist interventional radiologists during procedures involving all modalities of radiology in the Angiography suites (Body IR, Neuro IR, CathLab)
assist with Cardiology outpatient test: Echo's, TEEs, DSEs and treadmill tests
assist our Sports/Spine and Pain Anesthesia Team with procedures (steroid injections, spine injections for back pain, phototherapy's)
provide moderate sedation for all tests that require it, monitoring the patient throughout
pre and post anesthesia care and well as patient care coordination.
Requires ICU experience.
** PICC Line Nurse**
Full time, 100% FTE Days (four 10s) position currently open. PICC insertion for inpatient and outpatient population, ultrasound guided PIV insertion, troubleshooting CVADs, collaboration with providers to assist in determining the vascular access needs of patients. Requires 2 years + med-surg or ICU nursing experience. Tele experience desirable. PICC Line/vascular access experience desirable.
**Lipid Apheresis, APA (Ambulatory Procedures Area)**
60% Days position currently available with Lipid Apheresis, Ambulatory Procedures Area. (no week-ends, no holidays; schedule could be for 3 8s; or for a mix of 8s and 12s).
The APA Lipid Apheresis (LA) nurse would provide a dialysis type treatment to a select group of individuals with very high cholesterol on a weekly,bi-weekly or monthly basis. The LA nurse is responsible for the set up and break down of the treatment machine, placing IV access, monitoring vital signs at designated intervals, charting in ORCA and ordering all supplies needed. On days/shifts with no LA patients, the LA nurse will work in the Hematology/Oncology (Heme/Onc) Support Clinic and the Ambulatory Procedure Area assisting with the care of a variety of outpatient Heme/Onc patients and Radiology procedural and infusion patients.
Responsibilities Specific to Lipid Apheresis
Performs LDL apheresis procedure for HMC out-patient patient population.
Assesses patients' medical history and clinical condition for procedural concerns, risks and contraindications to LDL apheresis.
Obtains laboratory blood samples, reports critical lab results to medical providers and manages corrective action per orders.
Monitors the patient response to the procedure and make technical and medication changes appropriately.
Communicates with LDL Apheresis medical provider to address potential and immediate clinical concerns.
Adheres to unit policies and procedures compliant with regulatory requirements for LDL Apheresis documentation.
Functions independently and is responsible for daily workflow management, scheduling of patients into Epic, environmental safety and interfacing with other departments.
Assist in policy and procedure development, review, revision and implementation, as needed. Responsibilities Specific to Heme/Onc Support Clinic RN2 include the following: Assist with providing and coordinating all aspects of out-patient care for patients with blood (hematology) disorders and who have been diagnosed with cancer (oncology); inclusive of being responsible for coordinating outpatient chemotherapy treatments provided at the UW Medical Center; arranging and scheduling various follow-up treatments, procedures and follow-up care associated with the Heme/Onc patient population; triaging and managing chemotherapy treatment side effects, providing in-depth patient and family education on specifics of hematologic disorders and respective treatments, chemotherapy treatments and complications. Through skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, the Heme/Onc RN2 assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and quality of life. The Ambulatory Procedure Area (APA) nurse performs a variety of duties related to the following: Radiology pre-procedure and post procedure care; performs Therapeutic Phlebotomies; administers a variety of infusions (MABs, Iron, NS, Antibiotics, etc) and blood product transfusions and is proficient in starting IV's, accessing port-a-caths and providing maintenance care for tunneled central lines (ie: PICC lines).
*Per diem position open, variable hours. *Additional per diem/on-call position open (for taking call M-Th, 8pm - 7am).
Requires either ICU experience or Endo./GI experience.
50% - 60% FTE Evenings position open. Per diem, variable shifts position open.

**Multiple Outpatient Clinics and off-site programs** Medication Assisted Treatment (MET) Care Manager 100% day shift positions open for the HMC-ETS (Evergreen Treatment Services South King County) Hub and Spoke program. The HMC-ETS Hub and Spoke program will augment the current HMC Office Based Opioid Treatment Program in the HMC Adult Medicine Clinic, providing access to service for patient with opioid use disorder at Pioneer Square Clinic, Harborview Mental Health and Addictions Programs, the HMC inpatient service, the HMC Aftercare Clinic, and two outside programs (Evergreen Treatment Services South King County Clinic and Carolyn Downs Family Medicine Center). Addiction experience is required with 2 years of RN outpatient experience preferred.
**Pioneer Square Clinic - Plymouth 1st Hill** 80% Day shift available. Coordinated program with housing to provide medical care in Plymouth 1st Hill and at Harborview. Helps with chronically ill homeless adults. Must have experience diverse patient population.
**Healthcare for the Homeless (Downtown Programs)** 100% Day shift available. Provides nursing care in shelter with day rest beds for individuals who are homeless and ill, prevents and receives referrals from ED. Helps provide on-site primary care, care coordination and chronic disease management.
**Medical Respite** Several positions available. When applying, please indicate the specific Respite position.
90% Screener position.
Per diem Screener: 2 years of inpatient experience preferred. Review referrals for admission. Referrals come from hospitals throughout King County. Requires excellent nursing judgment, attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and excellent communication skills.
Per diem RN: Direct patient care for homeless men and women, in a homeless shelter with an embedded clinic. Patients are recently discharged from hospitals throughout King County and have a daily nursing need. Two years of inpatient experience required, including wound care and management of central lines. Experience with addiction and mental health preferred.
**STD Clinic** 100% Day shift positions open. Hours: M-F 7:30-4 or 9:30-6 and Wednesdays being from 11:30-7:30. The Public Health Seattle & King County (PHSKC) STD clinic provides testing and treatment for patients with and at risk for sexually transmitted diseases such as syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HSV and those with HIV. In addition to testing and treatment, we offer several preventive services including pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), long acting reversible contraceptives (LARC) also known as the IUD and nexplanon (implant), pap smears and vaccines. The STD clinic also houses the MAX clinic, a collaboration between Harborview's Madison Clinic and PHSKC STD clinic to help care for persons with HIV who have not engaged in care through other means. The MAX clinic is unique in that it provides drop-in primary and HIV care to persons with extensive personal and social barriers to care, including homelessness, untreated mental health and/or substance abuse disorders who are often not on HIV treatment. Both clinics operate primarily on a walk-in basis. Required to have at least two years of RN experience in outpatient setting.
**Cardiology Clinic** 80% day shift position available and per diem position available. Hours are from 0800 to 1630, depending on need of clinic. Experience with Cardiology patients is preferred.
**Eye Institute** 100% day shift position available; Per diem position available. This Eye Institute clinic RN position focuses on the clinical support of the Oculofacial surgical practice. In collaboration with the Oculofacial Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), the RN will assure seamless coordination of care in both the pre-surgical and post-surgical phases and assist physicians with clinic based procedures and telephone triage .The ideal candidate must be well organized, have excellent communication skills and be resourceful to facilitate meeting patient needs.
**Eye Institute (Operating Room)** Per diem position available. Experience with Surgical Specialties prefer experience in ophthalmology. Experience in an OR -Circulating/Scrubbing. Experience with Moderate Sedation and this position will also be required to make post op phone calls.
**Eye Institute (Clinic position)** Per diem position available. The clinic RN supports surgical practices within the practices as well as performing blood draws and Fluorescein Angiograms in clinic. The Clinic RN also supports telephone triage for opthomalogy practices.
**SANE Nurse position (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner)** Per diem position available. On call position providing care to adult, adolescent and pediatric victims of sexual assault including physical exam and forensic evidence collection. Service currently is provided at Harborview Medical Center and Valley Medical Center at a minimum. Program may expand in the next year to cover additional facilities in the Seattle area. 40 hour didactic SANE training is provided along with extensive orientation. Minimum availability of 72 hours per month in 12 or 24 hour shifts. Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 40 minutes of receiving page. Minimum 2 years nursing experience required. Emergency department, Women's health and/or Pediatric experience preferred.
**UW Medicine - Community Care Line/Nurse Advice Line/Transfer Center** (This position is located in an office at Boeing field).
80% FTE, rotating/variable shifts position open. Per diem, variable shifts position available. ER; outpatient; telephone triage experience desirable.
