Full Time: Monday - Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
The Employee Relations (ER) Consultant provides consultation and support services to employees, management, and others for Human Resources (HR)-related matters including, but not limited to, positive discipline, reemployment, and all employee relations issues. The ER Consultant partners with campus HR, Legal, Risk Management, Corporate Responsibility, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve complex HR issues. The ER Consultant ensures compliance with all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. The ER Consultant actively provides outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Minimum of 5 years' HR experience at HR Generalist level or higher, to include experience and/or knowledge in multiple HR disciplines such as Employee Relations, Recruitment, Training & Development, Compensation, Performance Management, Diversity and federal/state employment laws.
Excellent communicator with strong professional and interpersonal skills
Full knowledge of Federal and State labor laws and regulations (including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, OSHA, EEO)
Adept in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Ability to make sound decisions and judgements on sensitive, confidential issues
Ability to develop and deliver training programs
Ability to analyze complex information and solve problems with related analytics/metrics
Master's degree in HR or related field (Preferred)
3+ years full-time Employee Relations experience (Preferred)
Healthcare experience (Preferred)
Knowledge in the field of labor relations (Preferred)
Knowledge of regulations related to Worker's Compensation, OSHA and Re-employment (Preferred)
Mastery in all HR Florida Hospital (FH)/Adventist Health System (AHS) policies and procedures (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (Preferred)

Serves as resource to campus HR Business Partner to investigate and resolve employee relations matters.
Collaborates with Risk Management, Legal, Corporate Compliance, Safety, Security and other stakeholders to conduct investigations.
Manages compliance with FH/AHS policies and all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, and maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions.
Responsible for all reemployment claims and hearings including State of Florida appellate level.
Interacts with system HR and campus sites regarding key performance indicators (KPI), policies, and statistical reports. Prepares strategic agendas in area of employee relations. li>
Responsible for management of all severance, separations, layoffs and restructures.
Provides training, education, and coaching to System and Campus Leadership.
Serves as the leader in system initiatives and projects such as meal breaks, acquisitions, spin-offs, and joint ventures.
Provides conflict resolution plans between management and employees (including disciplinary action, working conditions, safety concerns, compliance, discrimination, and harassment complaints).
Develops and monitors HR policies within the organization and provides interpretation of processes.
Conducts investigations and creates defensible, fair and well-balanced responses for legal demands and EEOC position statements.
Interprets statistical trends and maintain analytics in regards to benchmarking, legislative and regulatory tracking, and Employee Relations scorecard data.
Provides support to Regulatory Services re: compliance with DNV regulations and ISO 9001 accreditation.
Prepares EEOC position statements and other legal correspondence, as appropriate in partnership with AHS Legal.
Manages fitness for duty and drug free workplace programs.
