The Community & State Encounter Program Management team has oversight of complete, timely and accurate Medicaid encounter submissions to state customers. Primary Responsibilities:Be a Medicaid Encounter Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more states Together with internal functional partners, ensure we meet or exceed Medicaid Encounter requirements and internal goals for your state(s) by: Ensuring Encounter submissions meet state requirements Monitoring Encounter submission and acceptance rates Reviewing, researching, investigating and correcting encounter issues through data and process analysis Where process or system changes are necessary, developing short and/or long-term resolutions by identifying root causes using data files, provider files, diagnosis files, etc. Developing collaborative relationships with internal partners in order to ensure Encounter goals are met; includes partnering with functional teams (e.g., Provider Data, Claims, etc.) accountable for issues impacting Encounters Maintaining Encounter reporting describing results against internal goals; presenting results and issue updates Developing relationships with state partners in order to research issues
Required Qualifications:Intermediate MS Office (MS Word, Excel, and Access) skills 1+ year of financial and data analysis experience 1+ year of experience working with and analyzing large quantities of dataPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree Medicaid Encounter experience Healthcare-related background Claims knowledge Experience working with PL/SQL within an Oracle Data base Experiencing working in a matrix-style organization Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
