Every day, you'll help 50 to 70 callers, in acompassionate and empathetic manner, providing guidance, support and resolvingescalated issues. This is no small opportunity. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday-Sunday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8 hourshift schedules during our normal business hours of (6am - 6pm). It may benecessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office islocated at 2033 Meadowview, Kingsport, TN.PrimaryResponsibilitiesHandle call transfers for claims reconsiderations and membereducationHelp guide and educate customers about the fundamentalsand benefits of consumer-driven health care topics to select the best benefitplan options, maximize the value of their health plan benefits and choose aquality care providerContact care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf ofthe customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internalspecialists for assistanceAssist customers in navigating UnitedHealth Groupwebsites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient in usingour toolsAct as a Subject Matter Expert or mentor to other teammembersYou've got loads of compassion, but you'll need more forthis role. You'll be interacting with members who need your help to resolve anissue. They may be frustrated and you'll have to manage the conversation withthem positively while multi-tasking to get to resolution.
