THP is a physician-hospital partnership that is patient-centric and physician-led, with guiding principles of improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare in the communities it serves. THP supports an extensive network of physicians from all specialties, and ensures all physicians align with Clinical Integration principles and every physician can participate in driving health care transformation. Clinical Integration uniquely positions THP to leverage its strong relationship with physicians to support both primary and specialty services to deliver the highest quality of care at the greatest value using the most current evidence-based guidelines for patient care.
The Medical Director, Clinical Affairs is responsible for the development of clinical integration strategies and initiatives and will provide guidance in implementation of these programs. He/she will ensure the partnership operates in a manner consistent with community standards of medical practice and ensure physician input is considered when developing these guidelines. The Medical Director will serve as a core member of the leadership team and is a liaison between physicians, administration, utilization management and quality improvement leaders. He/She is accountable for value-based care, including metric accountability, evidence-based guideline development, utilization management oversight, population health management, care coordination, care/disease management of high risk members, prevention, wellness and quality management. Furthermore, the Medical Director is ultimately responsible for the communication and engagement of network providers with respect to clinically integrated products and services.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
An MD/DO is required; an MBA, MPH, or equivalent graduate degree is preferred.
Board certification in a medical specialty recognized by the ABMS or AOA with Maintenance of Certification (MOC) is required.
Minimum of two years of management experience related to value-based care, quality improvement and/or clinical integration.
Experience in leading through healthcare transformation, physician alignment and other clinical integration initiatives is necessary.
The successful candidate should have the ability and desire to remain clinically active in his/her medical specialty approximately 10-15 percent.
