The Board of Directors of the Santa Rosa Metro Chamber, located in Santa Rosa, CA, have an immediate opportunity for a highly-qualified individual to assume the duties of Chief Executive Officer/President.
SRMC is an established non-profit is seeking a strong leader in the wake of the tragic North Bay wildfires, coinciding with the year-end retirement of their long-tenured CEO. This position will be responsible for the management and leadership of a 900-member, broad-based business organization with 22 employees and an annual budget of $3M.
Santa Rosa Metro Chamber represents over 170,000 residents and 1,000s of businesses in the largest city between San Francisco and the Oregon border. Biotech, Telecom, Construction, Agriculture, Food, Software, and Professional Service companies are contributing to the economic success of the area, which is also famous for wineries, breweries, and tourism.

The CEO is the public face of the chamber and the voice of the business community, advancing collaborative relationships to align the goals and interests of all stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking change agent with business acumen and executive presence, who can lead a talented and loyal team through major projects in Housing Construction, Transportation, Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, Urban Planning, Hospitality, and Education.
Serves as the public face of the Chamber by acting as the principal spokesperson, advocate, and ambassador on behalf of the Board and organization.
Forms and sustains key strategic relationships in business, government, and nonprofit communities to advance Chamber strategies and advocate for business interests.
Leads and organizes the day-to-day operations of the Chamber to foster employee engagement, create high levels of team alignment, and sustains highly successful membership programs and marketing results.
Successfully advances the collaborative relationships that build successful partnerships with businesses, business associations, and other Chambers and/or business organizations.
Engages with the Board, Board Chair, and Strategic Planning Committee Chair to facilitate both the annual and long-term strategic planning processes. Effectively operationalizes the annual strategy through the creation of an annual operating plan and budget.
Continuously seeks ways to grow membership and membership value. Identifies innovative methods to identify new revenue streams and membership opportunities.
