Mercy Health Physicians is seeking a Vice President of Access to provide leadership for adult ambulatory patient access to ensure customer-focused, results-oriented performance in alignment with the mission, values, and promise of Mercy Health (MH).
This individual will work closely with the operational and clinical leaders across the Ministry to ensure optimal patient access strategies are developed, implemented, and sustained to support seamless patient service across the care continuum. The Vice President of Access is charged to lead access-focused initiatives that create and support exceptional patient access and service, provider and staff satisfaction, growth and volume management, advancement of process and technology innovation, and strong financial performance with superior efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications - Minimum
A Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field.
Significant years of progressive responsibility and experience in the various aspects of multispecialty physician practice in multiple locations (200 providers or more).
A high level of strategic and analytical ability necessary to plan, direct, and partner with physician practices.
A high level of interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively in delicate, sensitive and complex situations and work successfully in teams.
Knowledgeable of healthcare reform and emerging health care issues and trends.
A high energy team player with a strong work ethic. This is a leader who is results oriented, eager to problem solve and can effectively facilitate change.
Proven change agent who understands systems engineering and the use of data analytics to drive operational, quality, and financial levers to positively affect results. Experienced in leading and implementing innovative quality, safety, and performance improvement initiates to achieve superior clinical quality and favorable financial outcomes with high satisfaction levels for patients and staff.
A broad, creative thinker, capable of seeing both the big picture and the detail involved in implementing the big picture.
An executive who is able to relate effectively with all constituencies, e.g., board members, physicians, employees, hospital leaders and government officials.
An excellent communicator and listener – a skilled writer and speaker, capable of communicating on behalf of the organization to internal and external audiences, and receptive to viable suggestions from others.
