The Department of Political Science invites applications for an Instructor position focused on public policy analysis and policy evaluation, with a specific focus on fiscal federalism and contemporary state-local policy dynamics. The prospective hire is expected to enhance the teaching in and administration of the Master of Public Policy Program. We especially welcome applications from candidates with executive-level experience working in state and local government, as well as a track record of excellence in teaching and mentoring Master’s level students and advanced undergraduates.
The candidate is expected to pursue research activities related to American fiscal federalism and state-local policy dynamics, as demonstrated by conference presentations, published works, and grant activity. The candidate will also assist with teaching in and administration of the Master of Public Policy Program. Masters -Public Administration/Public Policy
MPA or MPP in Public Adminstration/Public Policy.
Background in public policy and/or public administration in state and/or local government settings. In particular, we seek applicants with several years of executive-level experience working in state and local government.
Progress toward a PhD in Political Science is preferred.
