Performs audit of commission control reporting. Analyzes producer commissions and resolves discrepancies. Primary Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely payment of commissions to external producers. Process changes to agents' payment accounts and Assignments of Commission. Reissue payments to agents upon requestEnsure accurate and timely payment of commissions related to commission payment inquiries. Perform research on commission questions, resolve discrepancies, and communicate results to appropriate partiesProcess changes to information in the commission systemPerform monthly control audit reports, communicate results timely and consistentlyInteract via written and verbal communication with Sales Distribution Operations, Agent Onboarding, Sales leadership, Producer Help Desk, and Sales agents on commission status, issues and resolutionMaintain detailed, accurate, and organized records of commission research, calculations, payouts, and reconciling itemsCoordinate cross functionally within and outside the Commission team to ensure commission payments occur at the correct times by communicating the business rules, plan administration and commission processing timelinesDraft commission procedures manual as neededAssist co-workers with meeting the team's daily production goalsParticipate in special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree in finance (or related field) or equivalent experienceStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to analyze, interpret and implement sales commission plans and rate schedulesAbility to reconcile commission statements and resolve commission discrepanciesAbility to perform audit functions and maintain detailed documentationProficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, Word)Ability to learn other computer applications quicklyStrong verbal/written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively with sales agents and other departmentsPossesses written communication skills enabling independent handling of correspondenceAbility to work independently, prioritize work and meet deadlinesDemonstrated customer service skills in a professional business environmentTact, diplomacy and sensitivity to respect confidential informationWork schedule flexibility, including availability for overtimePreferred QualificationPrevious experience with commission processes and systemsPrevious experience with Medicare and/or the healthcare insurance industryCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
