In this exciting role as a Senior Director of Portfolio Management, your expertise and strategic vision will provide the necessary leadership and accountability for the performance and direction to develop and execute strategies, providing guidance, problem resolution and accountability for the change and innovation which will have a major impact on, not only the enterprise, but also the lives of millions. Primary Responsibilities:The Senior Director is accountable for Portfolio Management on a $100M+ C&S portfolio including, but not limited to the following:C&S Portfolio Engagement Partner with the business to execute enterprise C&S prioritization process, providing Optum Tech (OT) with greater focus on the highest priorities Partner with Capital Finance and the business to ensure financial approval processes are executed in a timely manner Field escalations from the business related to funding challenges; partner with Optum Tech and Capital Finance on alignmentAlign C&S Capital with Required Resources Manage projects through the Optum Tech project sizing process Update capital program allocations as capital needs change across the C&S portfolio Partner w/ Capital Finance to drive monthly capital forecasts Lead monthly portfolio reviews to discuss funding changes with Optum Tech stakeholdersReporting Distribute standard, weekly reports to C&S leadership Generate ad-hoc reports for business and Optum Tech leaders upon request Lead ongoing C&S DataMart maintenance/upkeep Annual Capital Planning Solicit input from C&S business leaders for candidate C&S capital programs Partner with business architect to rationalize submissions Lead C&S prioritization sessions with C&S business executive team Partner with Capital Finance to submit C&S capital plan Drive Process Improvement/Education/Process Enforcement
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience 10+ years of experience developing solutions to key business problems 7+ years of professional manager level matrixed experience in a large, enterprise environment 7+ years of budgeting/finance experience 5+ years of healthcare experience; preferably in the healthcare benefits business Experienced in the delivery of technology solutions and understanding business requirements Strong working knowledge of how business and IT interact and operate togetherPreferred Qualifications:Graduate Degree Experience in UnitedHealth Group Experience working in a Medicaid benefits business Agile experience Professional Services Consulting experienceCareers with UnitedHealthcare.
