Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Enrollment and Student Services, the incumbent is responsible for administering CSSW's financial aid programs, managing the day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid Office, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The office administers federal, state, private and Institutional aid to over 900 students; this Includes the processing of federal and private loans totaling over $15 million annually. The incumbent will work with a high degree of Independence, under the general oversight of the Assistant Dean. Directly supervise and trains Financial Aid Office staff, Including 3 full-time officers. In consultation with the Assistant Dean, the Director of Financial Aid exercises the authority to hire/release administrative personnel in the unit.
General Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. A minimum of four years' experience in financial aid administration required.In-depth knowledge of financial aid need analysis and federal regulations governing the management and delivery of financial aid funds required. Thorough familiarity with financial aid �related desktop and mainframe environments and reporting software systems required. Familiarity with maintenance of electronic databases required. Strong supervisory and staff development experience required. Excellent organizational, Interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities In a fast-paced, high-volume environment required. Excellent verbal and written communication skiffs, math aptitude, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of an administrative team required.
