The Data Input Specialist is responsible for receiving, interpreting, and entering all contents of data files from external lockbox vendors, online data streams, call centers, and other sources. Additionally, the Data Input Specialist examines data files for data input accuracy and alignment with DFCI business rules for data input.

Responsible for assisting the entire Division with reaching financial goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review scanned images of checks and other donor correspondence, interpret donor intent, and translate to proper codification within the PledgeMaker gift database;
Create and/or edit unique coding for each of the various gift types, primarily general, tribute, events, and matching gifts;
Directly input gift-related data into the PledgeMaker gift database based on donor intent, prospect manager direction, and data input business rules;
Record all donor biographical, address, interest, relationship, and other information into the Kintera Sphere and/or PledgeMaker databases;
Maintain a working knowledge of new donor acquisition and gift renewal procedures for comprehensive processing;
Maintain departmental scanned gift and donor correspondence files for accurate record keeping;
Complete specialized gift-related projects assigned by management;
Maintain as close to 100% accuracy as possible in all data input activities;
Maintain highest level of donor confidentiality and accountability.
Reports to Assistant Director, Data Input of Fiscal & Regulatory Management. Seeks major decision-making authority from supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree preferred, with 1-3 years of professional experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to complete data input and gift processing tasks with efficiency and accuracy in compliance with DFCI standards. Detail-oriented team player with excellent verbal, written language, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong reading and oral communication skills required. Familiarity with PledgeMaker highly desirable, experience with web-based gift databases preferred and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel essential.
Workstation in office setting located at 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445. Typically daytime, yet some evening and weekend work is required during peak times.
