Duties: The Business Intelligence Technical Lead at Dean Health Plan Inc. in Madison, WI will provide strategic and technical leadership for the area of practice, and function as a strategic thought leader and technical subject matter expert for the domain. Provide strategic and technical leadership for Business Intelligence Solutions; provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in the development of the practice and in the creation of artifacts for the SDLC process; lead the technical team through processes and deliverables within the SDLC; mentor, coach and develop staff; collaborate with other Architects where portfolio or domain strategy/roadmaps have cross organization impact; participate in enterprise, portfolio and project level governance activities; partner with other engineers within the organization to determine potential capabilities and optimization opportunities; partner with others within the IT organization and seek out collaboration activities; and communicate plans, status and issues to higher management levels.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a directly related field, plus six years of technology experience. The experience must include six years of work experience with each of the following: (1) creation of reports and SQL queries; (2) using Oracle database to build queries; (3) using SQL database technologies to build queries; (4) installation, configuration, and deployment of business intelligence system; (5) gathering and analyzing business requirements for data warehousing solutions; and (6) training and educating users in Business Intelligence technology. Must also have two years of experience with each of the following: SQL queries, dashboards and visualizations in business intelligence technology; and system design and implementation of Business Intelligence systems.
