And you'll do your life's best work.(sm) The role of the Diagnostic/Fulfillment Team Supervisor is to oversee a team of diagnostic testing staff and fulfillment staff. You will Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities for a team within both the Diagnostic Testing and Fulfillment departments. The Diagnostic Testing department is responsible for the downloading, sorting and indexing of electronic diagnostic test results while the Fulfillment department is responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail distribution. Primary Responsibilities: Implement and ensure strict adherence to the Privacy Act of 1974 Ensure team work assignments are processed promptly and efficiently Interact with other MSLA team members regarding requests for diagnostic test results and mailing of documents Analyze staff productivity, performance, and quality to ensure departments meet or exceed productivity goals and established department metrics Report team progress and develop action plans with timelines to improve production Responsible for providing coaching and mentoring to Diagnostics and Fulfillment team Interpret, enhance and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff Resolve problems and make changes to accommodate changing priorities Conduct regular meetings with staff Responsible for assisting in the distribution of work Ensure daily tasks are being met by the Diagnostic Coordinators and Fulfillment teams Schedule Veterans examinations and diagnostic testing Develop and maintain relationships with providers Manage assigned cases from start to finish Ensure all pertinent information is documented in MSLA database Confirm daily clinic schedules are faxed to MSLA facilities Manage telephone calls; i.e. inbound/outbound, and escalation calls Oversee tracking and completion of all diagnostic testing ensuring a set turnaround time and provide follow-up on delayed reports with external facilities. Required Qualifications:Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role Outstanding organizational and leadership skills 2+ years of experience working with document manipulation software, such as Adobe or eCopy Proficient in MS OfficePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree level of education or higher Knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of CPT coding Medical Billing & Coding experience Certified Coder (CPC, etc) Knowledge of process improvement (Six Sigma, etc.) Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company plans and vision, and communicate them to subordinates Organize workflow and ensure employees understand their duties or delegated tasks Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching Receive complaints and resolve problems Maintain timekeeping and personnel records Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa Prepare and submit performance reports Decide on reward and promotion based on performance Hire and train new employees Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions, in conjunction with the Manager, if the need arises Good understanding of budgeting and reporting Lead, manage, direct and motivate staff and possess the skills to delegate and supervise subordinates Work independently and in conjunction with team members at all levels of the organization Prioritize workload under aggressive timelines while managing multiple projects and adapting to a fluid business environment Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and adaptable Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment Excellent public speaking and presentation skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Able to follow routine procedures consistently and efficiently Proficient in general computer use and Microsoft Office Suite Careers with MSLA.
