Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function. Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed. May also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities. Positions mainly responsible for more general A / R activities which do not include medical and ancillary premium billing activities can be found in the Accounts Receivable function in the Finance job family. Primary Responsibilities:Maintain payment status and billing records through corrections and adjustmentsPerform data entry Participate in special projects Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards Proactively seeks to further develop billing process competenciesAssist in implementation of process improvements Perform analysis and validation of documents and reports Maintain timely, accurate documentation for all appropriate transactions Ensure department's and customers' needs are metResolve routine & complex questions & problems, referring more complex problems to higher levels
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED1+ years of experience in an office setting environment using the computer as the primary instrument to perform job dutiesExperience in using Microsoft Outlook to manage emailsExperience in using Microsoft Word to create files.Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with the flexibility to adjust daily schedule, and work overtime and / or weekends, as neededPreferred Qualifications:Experience with using Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets1+ years of billing experienceThis position may require additional access approvals inclusive of extended background verifications post hire.Careers with UnitedHealthcare.
