The College of Public Health and Human Sciences is seeking a Director, Oregon State University Center for Health Innovation. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.
The Director is responsible for strategic decisions regarding vision, direction, program management, and external partnerships of the Oregon State University Center for Health Innovation. The incumbent is responsible for directing the Center and supervising its staff; helping the College secure and maintain partnerships with industry, organization, and agency partners that leverage the intellectual resources of OSU for the benefit of both parties; and serving as an internal thought leader in health innovation for OSU, the College, industry and community partners. Through these partnerships, the Director will have the opportunity to connect business, industry and other stakeholders to the human capital and expertise of CPHHS and OSU and to accomplish its strategic goals as part of a leading land grant university. The Director is charged with representing the OSU Center for Health Innovation with external constituents. This position will serve as liaison with the Community Advisory Council for the College of Public Health and Human Sciences. This position reports to the Dean of the College of Public Health and Human Sciences.
These strategies are expected to result in increased opportunities for practical experience, internships, and employment for our graduates; and increased contracts, gifts and grants for research and professional services by faculty and staff of OSU. The incumbent will work closely with the Dean, college leadership team, OSU Foundation Development Officer, college Community Advisory Council, and program/internship coordinators to develop the strategies that best respond to the needs of faculty, students, graduates, and external stakeholders.
Typically requires PhD in related field with 6-8 years experience in management responsibilities.
Masters degree in Public Health, Operations Management, Business, Marketing or related field.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain partnerships with diverse partnership entities.
Evidence of significant leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to interface between academia, industry, government and community organizations.
Experience in academic settings, with understanding of academic mission and university operations.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
