CADES is seeking an experienced Director of Development to oversee the resource development, public relations and marketing programs at CADES.
Areas of Responsibility:
Plan, Organize and Lead Friend and Fundraising Efforts including:
Planning and delivery of overall friend and fundraising efforts to support CADES programs and activities.
Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization.
Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of friend and fundraising efforts.
Cultivate relationships with current and prospective supporters and funders.
Maintain oversight of all fundraising activities including major giving, grants, special events, appeals, corporate partnership initiatives and other related activities.
Work with the Board of Directors including Development Committee in annual planning, implementation and analysis of fundraising projects.
Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program.
Preserving and Celebrating the Organization:
Coordinate all media and public relations outreach.
Manage and align the organization's marketing, messaging and communications including setting and monitoring adherence to branding guidelines.
Oversee the CADES website and social media efforts.
Develop new and refreshed communications initiatives.
Supervision and Communication:
Recruit, develop and retain a well trained development and communications team.
Engage volunteers for appropriate program activities.
Develop annual budget and operating plan for department.
Ensure program functions within the annual budget.
Manage expenses for all fundraising, public relations and communication efforts.
Ensure all financial reports for the program are up-to-date.
Ensure financial reports and supporting documentation for funders are prepared as outlined in funding agreements.
Minimum five years' experience in fundraising, public relations/ marketing and management.
Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources, including major gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations and government agencies.
Experience in donor cultivation, grant writing, contracts management and special events.
Knowledge of and connections to the funding community in Southeastern PA regional area.
Strong interpersonal, supervision, administration and management skills
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of and interest in new technology and social media.
Current PA State Police, Child Abuse and FBI background clearances.
