Director of Human Resources Pension Reserves Investment Management Board Boston, MA
The $70 billion Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management Board (PRIM) is seeking a Director of Human Resources. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will be an individual contributor directly responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the entire Human Resources function for this 50-person organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage the overall recruitment process including creation of job descriptions, resume review, interviewing and making recommendations to hiring managers
Prepare onboarding materials and conduct new hire orientation as needed
Coordinate all benefits administration including management of the open enrollment process
Communicate, maintain, update and enforce company policies as stated in the employee handbook; provide all HR support and communications to management and employees
Develop and implement firm-wide training programs
Assist with the development of programs that focus on retention, performance management, career development and succession planning for employees at all levels
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legal HR-related requirements
Support organizational initiatives
Assist in all other HR related tasks as requested
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related concentration; PHR/SPHR certification a plus
A minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, benefits, recruitment, organizational development, employee relations and employee engagement
Must be highly knowledgeable in all state and federal employment laws for overall business compliance
Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships and interact effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization
Outstanding interpersonal relationship-building and employee-coaching skills
Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team
Strong work ethic and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
