Maintenance of accounting systems for governmental and proprietary funds, assuring that general and subsidiary ledgers are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Preparation of interim and annual financial statements, reports, analyses, and reconciliations.
Assisting with developing, modifying, installing, and maintaining accounting systems and internal controls.
Working with County departments and internal and external auditors in assigned areas of responsibility.
Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting. Must have strong analytic and communication skills.
Office has a non-tobacco use policy.
Starting Salary Range $47,486 to $55,890/annually.
Preferred qualifications include at least one year of professional accounting experience, possession of or candidate for a CPA certificate, and experience in spreadsheet and word processing software. Incumbents in this position may be eligible for promotion to Senior Accountant.
