Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Office for Diversity and Community Engagement, is seeking a Program Development Analyst. Under the direction of the Vice Dean of the New Jersey Medical School, the Program Development Analyst assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of all programs. Provides administrative and program support to the Project Director, Principal Investigator, faculty, and other professional staff. In addition, the Program Development Analyst is responsible for the day-to day operations of the Pozen programs.
Works closely with the Vice Dean and other Pozen associates to ensure that the goals and objectives for the programs are being met.
Participates in program development activities pertaining to Pozen programs and collaborates with other units dedicated to service in the development of a potential Pozen Institute.
Represents the Pozen program at meetings, conferences, professional and social functions under the direction of the Vice Dean.
Coordinates Pozen activities for scholars, students, faculty and staff. Develops and maintains database on Pozen Scholars.
Develops mechanism and network system for Pozen including creation of brochures and newsletters.
Serves as Project Administrator on special projects, interacting with administrators, faculty, students and staff as required.
Coordinates fiscal procedures and maintains fiscal records associated with grant accounts.
Prepares budget recommendations for the Pozen programs. Tracks budget and ensures funds are utilized according to policy and regulations. Compiles necessary data and justification for projected expenditures.
Serves as liaison with internal and external agencies, ad hoc committees or other similar bodies deemed appropriate by the Vice Dean and Pozen Administrators.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree plus three (3) years of related experience in a business office, government agency or university setting. Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the educational requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in the application of information systems and technology and use of the Internet.
Master’s Degree (Journalism and English preferred) a minimum of two (2) years of appropriate experience in desktop publishing, journalism, writing, and editing.
A background in community relations, health or higher education.
