Primary Purpose: Responsible for oversight of multiple student loan programs and processes, ensures compliance and timely delivery of Federal Student Aid. Oversees the maintenance of the Department's website.
Essential Functions: 1. Manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the Financial Aids Federal loan processing for the University, three campuses.
2. Serves as lead to department for various technology needs i.e. report development, generation, data integrity and web maintenance.
Ensures the accuracy of utilizing the most recent Electronic Data Exchange (EDE) Institutional Student Information Records.
Analyze and identify needs of staff and develops reports utilizing Argos and/or Blackboard Analytics reporting software.
Maintains updates and enhances Financial Aid Office website.
Oversees and coordinates the timely and accuracy of OnBase document imagining.
Keeps abreast of Banner Financial Aid upgrade releases identifying process changes and/or enhancements.
3. Oversees the Universitys participation in the Department of Educations Quality Assurance program.
4. Researches and resolves complex disbursement issues.
5. Provides staff training relating and not limited to loan processing, disbursement, ISIRs, document imaging.
6. Remains current on federal, state and institutional financial aid policies and regulations to ensure the University remains in compliance with policies and regulations. Reviews and evaluates financial aid applications, performs needs analysis and formulates financial aid packages.
7. Provides counseling to prospective and enrolled students and families about aid eligibility, financial aid policies and procedures and alternative financing options.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
B.S. or B.A. degree.
One (1) year relevant work experience in financial aid student counseling, financial aid awarding or managing financial aid programs.
Preferred Qualifications: Skills/Knowledge and Expertise:
Strong use of computers and standard office software programs, including Word and Excel.
Experience in a highly automated office environment with knowledge of financial aid systems such as Banner, EDConnect, Argos, Blackboard Analytics, OnBase or other similar integrated software.
Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Solid working knowledge and ability to interpret and apply federal, state and University financial aid regulations, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge and ability to independently reach difficult decisions utilizing professional judgment.
Financial aid experience analyzing, evaluating and ability to attain complex decisions regarding financial aid applications and documents in a higher education environment.
Skills needed to coordinate and organize multiple complex projects and tasks and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Excellent oral, written and customer service communication skills.
Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.

Hiring Range: Min $18.81 per hour to Mid $25.30 per hour, non-exempt
