The purpose of this role is to provide Business Analysis support for the HSBC Asset Management Client and Account data domain, within the Chief Data Office.
Key to performing this role is an ability to manage multiple stakeholders as well as both capturing & documenting various business requirements.
Candidates will require a good working knowledge of the Asset Management Business and experience of delivering IT driven change.
Candidates will also be required to have a good working knowledge of project management and business analysis, with the ability to manage multiple work streams, produce various project documentation and track project progress from inception to delivery.
The Client & Account data domain has delivered a new golden source application (CAM), which holds all Clients/ Entities (i.e. Brokers), Mandates, Accounts/Investment Portfolios, Benchmarks and various reference data, for the HSBC Asset Management business. As such, a number of key global initiatives have a dependency on CAM, to deliver data to support various areas of the business (such as Front Office). As the demand for CAM has grown, there is a need for a candidate with proven BA skills, to support this programme.
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications requirements: * An individual with a proven track record of delivering business based projects, across geographies, timezones and with multiple stakeholders * A good understanding of and proven experience in working in the Asset Management business. * A good understanding of data management and data governance * Proven experience and good knowledge of reference data sets covering Entity data (i.e. Company hierarchies, Clients, Brokers, and Distributors) and Account/ Investment Portfolio data is strongly required. * Strong Data Analysis coupled with advanced Excel Skills. * Strong MS Office application skills (Visio, Word, PowerPoint). * Strong documentation and presentation skills and an experience in writing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs). * Ability to produce process flow diagrams and design Target Operating Models (TOMs). * Confidence and track record in building solid working relationships with key stakeholders, securing project resources or priorities from them through persuasion and influence rather than necessarily authority. * Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings. * Self starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and who can influence and motivate people around them. * Good problem solving skills coupled with the ability to propose solutions. * Adaptable and can thrive in a diverse work environment. * Ability to work with both business stakeholders as well as IT.
