Join us and start doing your life's best work.The Enrollment Eligibility Manager will be responsible to oversee day to day activities related to enrollment and eligibility operations in order to accomplish the business and their team's objectives. Our Manager's and their teams have a serious responsibility to make every contact informative, productive, positive, and memorable. The impact of the work associated with the position is most often at the local level. Positions in this function are responsible for preparing, processing and maintaining new member or group enrollments. Positions may load new member or group data into the enrollment database and update the database with changes. Positions may also respond to member eligibility or group questions and verify enrollment status. Positions may work with various types of member correspondence. Positions may also be responsible for reconciling eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data and submitting retroactive eligibility changes. Positions may also be responsible for inventory control of member and group transactions. Position may also oversee work activities of other supervisors. Employees in jobs labeled with (SCA), must support a Government Service Contract Act (SCA) Agreement. Primary Responsibilities:Supervise and be accountable for Eligibility Supervisors and Representatives in their daily job functions to ensure files are applied timely and all turnaround times and quality standards are met and / or exceededSets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own teamMeet and exceed department quality audits and provide coaching to their supervisor's and team membersAdapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operationalMaintain and prioritize eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data and submitting retroactive eligibility changes to the director and senior leadersEnsure all standards set by the company, including attendance, dress code, etc. are adhered toHandle all escalations courteously, politely and professionallyAct as back-up support for other Managers as needed for meetings and other departmental responsibilitiesAdvise management in long-range planning for areas of specialization Influence or provide input to forecasting and planning activitiesPerform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:High School Diploma / GED3+ years of previous Management or Supervisory experience with direct reports2+ years of Billing and / or Eligibility experienceProficiency with a computer and Windows PC applications Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higherKnowledge of Human Resources policies and proceduresExperience with Coaching and DevelopingSoft Skills:Excellent interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability for strong oral and written communication skillsThe ability to handle multiple issues and prioritize appropriately while working swiftly and efficiently without compromising quality customer serviceStrong organizational skills with the ability to respond appropriately and effectively in difficult situationsPhysical Requirements and Work Environment:Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, and long periods working at a computerService center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, and floor activityCareers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
