Responsibilities: The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking candidates for Reproductive Endocrinology Division Chair.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior REI visionary to lead our practice. The Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Mayo Clinic provides a full range of infertility, fertility preservation and reproductive surgery services with a focus on a high quality, evidence-based practice. We also offer IVF services via a satellite network in the Mayo Clinic Health System community practices and international collaborations recognized by key organizations including Optum Centers of Excellence and Aetna Institute of Excellence for IVF. We offer a state-of-the-art Simulation Center and a premier program in benign uterine diseases anchored by NIH funding. Mayo faculty are supported in their pursuit of government funding via internal funding of the salary gap between NIH salary scale and clinical salaries and supplemental funds based on indirect costs of funded projects. A unique rotational leadership system promotes clinical innovation and career satisfaction.
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consists of over 40 board-certified physicians providing care to a rich patient mix involving regional, national, and international patients. All OBGYN specialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The department also supports 16 residents and 15 fellows through five ACGME/ABOG accredited training programs, including a Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Fellowship. Mayo Clinic REI Fellowship graduates populate premier academic and practice practices throughout the country.
Candidates must be board-certified in OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility with special expertise to augment the academic practice and have attained academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor with evidence of continued scholarly activity. The successful candidate will be strongly engaged in the clinical practice, have progressive leadership experience with demonstrated achievements in promoting quality initiatives and practice innovation, and have the ability to mentor junior members of the division by creating connections regionally and nationally.
