Banner Health is looking for an IT Security Consultant to join their Security Governance team at the Banner Corporate Center Phoenix Plaza, located on Thomas and Central in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full time, full benefitted role with Banner Health, not a contract.
Governance is one of six foundational pillars in Banner's Information Security Department. The Governance pillar is directly responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a risk-reduction and risk management framework to provide assurance that information security activities support business objects; are consistent with regulations, standards, and industry best practices; adhere to established and published policy and standards requirements and internal controls; and provide assignment of responsibility.
Leads or participates in security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments, developing and implementing appropriate recommendations.
Leads or performs analysis of company's information security architecture, including hardware and software components, with the objective of standardizing security throughout our infrastructure. Responsible for participating in the design and recommendations of various security architectures in accordance with accepted industry standards and subsequent implementation oversight.
Participates in the ongoing evaluation and development of security policies and procedures. Leads the revision of policies and procedures, as needed.
Responsible for providing technical expertise and support for security software, including operational aspects of the software. Responsible for mentoring junior members of the team and may supervise the work of the department in the absence of immediate supervisor.
Responsible for identifying, monitoring, providing guidance, direction, and oversight for company's compliance with all federal, state, and local mandated information security laws, rules, and guidelines (i.e., HIPAA Security Rule, PCI DSS, medical device security, etc.). Remain current with the latest industry technical information.
Serves as primary leader of information security projects, including the development of project scope requirements, budgeting, and project planning.
Perform investigations of potential security incidents and violations. Coordinate with appropriate regulatory bodies, as well as internal customers (i.e., Legal, Business Health, Privacy, Compliance, Risk, etc.) as necessary, on breach response
Coordinate with security operations teams to provide monitoring, and oversight regarding response, mitigation, and reporting for network and computer incidents.
Provide threat-focused operations recommendations through the use of cyber threat intelligence.
Conduct incident readiness and response activities across all network operational functions.
Implement and manage a solution to integrate, streamline, and automate enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs.
