UW Medicine Finance has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Financial Analyst, UW Medicine Finance and Performance Analytics. This individual will perform analysis to support the financial decision making of the organization as well as to assist in the management/reduction of operating costs of UW Medicine through reporting and analysis to ensure the long-term financial performance of the organization.
Supports monthly and ad hoc healthcare analyses related to performance improvement (PI) for key system initiatives.
Key analyst responsible for support business planning, profitability reporting, dashboard development and other financial analysis for the Vascular, Neurosciences and other analytics with Harborview Medical Center.
Perform professional financial analysis for other key programs to support optimal decision-making and cost management (e.g., Long-term care services, Palliative Care, Sleep Medicine, etc.).
Provide other analysis using Encounter reporting tools.
Support market analysis when related to advancing programs or enhancing strategic growth.
Conduct analysis as directed to identify opportunities for the cost improvements that support UW Medicine.
Conduct financial analysis of new programs as well as existing programs.
Provide reports and interpretations of analytical results to Finance Management and Hospital Administration.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field AND at least five years of progressively responsible experience in financial analysis.
Ability to prepare complex financial analysis and interpretations with high degree of accuracy.
Proven analytical, verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to utilize numerous computer applications spreadsheets, databases and report writers and PowerPoint (Access, Excel, COGNOS, BOE, HPM, HBI, etc.).
Ability to use MapPoint, Maptitude or other mapping software.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
Ability to formulate recommendations and interpret financial information.
Ability to work independently with a minimum level of supervision.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
Experience with financial/budget planning. Healthcare experience.
