The position reports to the Manager of Accounts Payable, whose primary role is to oversee the Centralized Accounts Payable supervisory staff to ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed. This includes support for Voucher Processing, Customer Service, Vendor Maintenance and Cash Management.
Duties will include:
Works with dedicated PeopleSoft teams to help enhance the operations of Accounts Payable
Organizes regular department meetings
Works with supervisors to cross train staff
Creates routine operational and special/ad hoc reports as required
Reviews weekly AP Check runs for all affiliates
Works will all banks and ACH programs to ensure proper handling of all Accounts Payable transactions.
Maintains all A/P files in accordance with Corporate Policy and Government Regulations.
Assists in the coordination of requests from internal auditors, third party and independent auditors as necessary
Oversees the implementation and supervision of a new scanning solution, which includes day to day operation and maintenance of the new system.
Develops and implements Accounts Payable metrics
Develops processes to monitor interfaces
Hires and trains new staff members as necessary
Bachelors Degree is required with 5-7 years of supervisory experience.
Experience with PeopleSoft is highly preferred.
Detail oriented with the self-initiative to drive projects to conclusion. Excellent time management and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all organizational levels, including internal/external management.
Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams and work collaboratively across departmental functions.
