Join us and start doing your life's best work.Primary Responsibilities:Provide excellent service to walk-in membersReceives and responds to inquiries from walk-in members regarding benefits, policies, procedures and protocolsActs as a customer advocate in providing assistance to resolve members' issues and problemsFollow-up calls to members with resolution to identified issues in timely mannerResolves inquiries related to authorizations, claims, enrollment, and billing. Provides service requests to other departments as neededFulfills material requests for membersMaintains accurate member data, including addresses, phone numbers, and PCP changesInputs data in system for record tracking and issue resolutionDocuments all issues in system in a timely mannerProactively educates members on cover benefits, plan exclusions, and procedures to enhance total customer service experiencePromote various store events and seminars to customersAssists members to apply for various government assistance programsPerforms accountabilities in accordance with established organizational metricsIdentifies trends and continuously makes recommendations to improve processesReports issues or problems with members, systems and processes to managerAssists and involves in member retention projectsPerforms other related projects and duties as assignedMeet established performance standardsDemonstrate the ability to build and maintain productive working relationship with others and contribute as an effective team memberPerform Insides sales function to increase new businessService walk-in prospects interested in Medicare and Individual ProductsExplain plan benefits and assist prospects to choose the most appropriate plan according to their needsProvide information on various plan designs and send out benefit package and sales materialsCoordinate with Sales Rep. on prospect follow-upInput sales activities and results on sales tracking systemCollect and review enrollment application to ensure completenessCoordinate with Sales Administrative Assistant and Enrollment Dept. to ensure smooth enrollment processActive participation in community events to build relationship and promote our brand
Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree (or higher) 1+ years of customer service experience Bilingual fluency in English & Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) Ability to attend occasional Health Fairs & Community Events Ability to commute to work at other retail locations as needed Ability to obtain State Accident & Health Insurance licenses for NY within 60 days of employment Ability to travel up to 10% of the timePreferred Qualifications: Prior health and / or general insurance sales experience NY Health LicenseSoft Skills: Experience in a position requiring excellent communication and analytical skillsCareers at UnitedHealthcare Employer & Individual.
