Position Description and Requirements Community School of Naples, an independent, college preparatory school, is currently seeking an Upper School (grades 9-12) History Teacher. The position requires a Bachelor degree in history or a social science field and at least 3 years of teaching experience. In order to support our Global Scholars and AP Capstone initiatives, experience in teaching the skills of research and analytical writing is strongly preferred.
This full-time position would teach five classes a day, and the average class size would be approximately 14-16 students. Teaching responsibilities can include a variety of high school social science courses, most likely World History, US Government, and AP Seminar. Experience coaching history clubs like Model UN or Mock Trial is helpful, since most history teachers are expected to coach a competitive academic team.

Compensation and Benefits The appointment is for the academic year starting in August 2018. This instructional position is paid on an annual salary commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and qualifications.
