Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is searching for an Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs. The Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs for Residence Life and Integrative Learning provides direction, strategic leadership and a general philosophical framework for Residence Life, Dining, ID/One Card, assessment and program review, and Integrative Learning efforts such as the Learning Communities. This Assistant Vice President also serves as one of two advisors to the Community Government Association (CGA). CGA, in addition to student advocacy, manages student fees, operates the University Store, owns and operates off campus student housing, and engages in targeted property acquisition.
The role of the Assistant Vice President is to enhance the learning environment on campus for students and serve as an advocate for students and their needs.
As one of two assistant vice presidents in Student Affairs, this position is a vital member of the senior leadership team in Student Affairs. The Assistant Vice President serves as an advisor to the Vice President and assists the Vice President in the management of the division, establishing goals, developing and implementing strategic plans, and developing and implementing policies, programs and services.
The Assistant Vice President may serve in the absence of the Vice President when the Vice President is off campus.
In addition, the incumbent will be expected to have the ability to work with diverse populations. Finalists for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process. Completing this search is contingent upon available funding.

Master’s degree in higher education or related program
Five or more years of experience in a residence life system
Seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education
Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and communication skills
Strong experience managing complex budgets and capital projects
Demonstrated understanding of best practices and trends in residence life and in higher education
Demonstrated ability to lead and create assessments and program reviews.
Understanding of best practices and trends in academic support services.
Doctoral degree in higher education, student affairs or related field
Experience in food service
Background in facilities management
