Essential Functions: Training and supervsion of program staff.Generate of profiles of distinct regions within the KCI catchment in order to characterize cancer incidence, mortality, survival, morbidity, and related cancer needs.Development and expansion of community layperson stakeholder networks in support of cancer research in the catchment area.The development and expansion of networks of government, public health, and social service agencies in support of cancer investigations in the catchment area.Training and capacity building within community stakeholder and agency networks.The development and implementation of a cancer-specific community health assessment.Oversight and implementation of research and evaluation to advance program goals.Coordination and facilitation of a health policy workgroups that include regional leaders and experts.
Qualifications: Must be able to managed multiple priorities.Must work well with community members, study participants, cancer center clinical and research staff.Must have background in community health education.Must have experience working with non-academic organizations/agencies.Must have experience working with diverse populations.Must have experience in applying community engagement strategies.Must have critical thinking, analytical, problem solving, and exceptional interpersonal skills.Must have sound professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidential information.Requires great attention to detail.
