Gannon University’s School of Communication and The Arts seeks an Assistant Professor in Communication with a specialty in Health Communication. The appointment for this tenure-track position begins August 2018. The successful candidate will teach in the graduate Health Communication program, in undergraduate Communication, and in the upper level and basic Speech courses. The candidate will also advise undergraduate and graduate students as assigned.
Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Requirements include a Ph.D. (completed by fall 2018) in Mass Communication, Communication, Health Communication or related discipline. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal-arts and professional education traditions.
