Assistant Professor – Tenure Track Cybersecurity Department of Computer Science
Support the growing Cybersecurity Program
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cybersecurity, computer science, and computer information systems
Participate in course and curriculum development
Teach laboratories and maintain equipment associated with them
Establish a productive research program involving undergraduate and graduate students
Advise students and provide service to the department, college, and University
Ph.D. in computer science, computer information systems, electrical or computer engineering, or a closely-related discipline. (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity
Potential for excellent teaching of courses in cybersecurity, computer science, and computer information systems at both undergraduate and graduate levels
Experience working with hardware, networking (wired and wireless) and firmware
Potential for establishing an active research program specializing in computer and information security capable of involving both undergraduate and graduate students
Experience teaching at the college or university level as a graduate assistant, instructor or above, or relevant industrial experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multicultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
