The Department of University Relations at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Director of Event Services.
The Director of Event Services will work closely with the Chancellor, Department of University Relations, UW-Platteville Foundation, and other constituents. The Director of Event Services will interact with distinguished guests, visiting dignitaries, UW-Platteville Foundation board members, and the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents. Qualified candidates are creative, deadline driven, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The Director of Event Services will provide leadership, professional expertise, and direction in the planning and execution of high quality events and ensure the Chancellor, University Relations division, and campus wide priorities are reflected in the planning and presentation of events. Through collaborative planning with key personnel, the Director of Event Services will work to create a calendar of events to maximize impact in critical areas of donor stewardship and recognition, government and community relations, alumni relations, etc.

Qualifications: • Master Degree in Fine Arts, Business or related Field • 5-7 years of management experience • 5-7 years of leadership/management experience • Fiscal and budget management knowledge and experience • Excellent communication skills sufficient to express ideas and agreements concisely and persuasively, both orally and in writing, to a variety of constituencies.
