The Dean of the College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences is responsible for all operations of the College and provides leadership for all undergraduate and graduate programs within the College. The Dean reports to the Executive Vice President/Provost and is a member of the Council of Deans, Academic Senate, and Academic Planning Council. The Dean works closely with the several other academic college deans and other senior leaders, department chairs, program directors, and staff members. The College consists of the departments of: English Language and Literature; World Languages and Cultures; History; Military Science; Philosophy and Religion; Political Science and Public Administration; Psychology; and Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work. The college also includes several interdisciplinary programs, such as Museum Studies, Neuroscience, Women and Gender Studies, and Cultural and Global Studies, as well as several institutes and centers, such as the English Language Institute; the Cultural and Natural History Museum; the Center for Professional and Personal Ethics; and the School of Public Service and Global Citizenship. In addition to its undergraduate programs, the College offers several masters programs, as well as Ph.D. programs in History, Clinical Psychology, Experimental Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, School Psychology, and Neuroscience.
