Fire & Life Safety (FLS), Asia Pacific, Vice President (Hong Kong or Tokyo)

As part of the Asia Pacific CSI team the Vice President, FLS is responsible for leading the regional function. They will ensure that all firm sites have an effective and well‐tested evacuation plan; develop, maintain, and implement relevant procedures that are aligned with the Firm's requirements; coordinate fire drills across all office locations in the region; and track/document all FLS activities in regular reports. This role will be required to collaborate closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Review and evaluate the current state of the FLS function, ensuring that all procedures are updated and aligned with the Firm's requirements.
Coordinate fire drills for all office locations in the region.
Stay abreast of country specific FLS regulations and best practices via proactive research as well as liaison with relevant government agencies and industry peers.
Document all FLS related activities and prepare monthly report. Present on findings, ongoing projects, recommended improvements, etc. on a monthly call and regular management briefings.
Building rapport with various stakeholders to ensure best practices are executed throughout the program.
Conduct FLS surveys/ audits of offices, hotels, and other locations used or being considered for use by the Firm.
Provide timely leadership and management in crisis situations, including FLS incidents and natural disasters, etc.
Respond to, investigate, and document FLS related incidents for communication/escalation to the regional head of CSI and other senior leaders.
Coordinate closely with FLS managers in other regions and at the global level. Leverage global best practices and expertise to improve service level and efficiency in the region.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of vendors supporting the FLS program.
Assisting the design teams on construction projects to ensure that workspaces are built in accordance with FLS best practices.
Have the ability to help the Regional Head of Security Operations to manage various responsibilities, including pertaining to crisis management, whenever the need arises.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
At least 12 years of relevant safety and crisis management experience.
In‐depth knowledge of FLS concepts and best practices, and working knowledge of fire systems;
In‐house experience with an MNC with responsibilities for managing regional FLS and security (preferred);
Prior experience in creating and managing safety related strategies, plans, and procedures;
Collaborative individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Proven ability to both create and deliver effective trainings and presentations;
Adaptable and willing to take on diverse projects and manage tasks relating to the FLS function;
Excellent skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; and
University Graduate with fluent English language skills. An additional language is preferred (e.g. Mandarin or Japanese).
