Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) The Director for Payment Integrity Automation is responsible for overseeing the programs, projects and initiatives for the Automation team. This position is involved in the daily operations to the extent needed to deploy automation projects and initiatives in a timely, accurate and cost effective manner. This role will be responsible for the development and implementation of new automation strategies as well as the maintenance and expansion of existing programs to achieve corporate savings goals for all medical cost savings and cost avoidance programs. In addition, forecasting, planning and tracking resource impacts from projects will be required. This person will need to ensure compliance with all state and federal rules and meet all regulatory reporting requirements where applicable. Primary Responsibilities:Deployment of Automation Solutions to the Payment Integrity Business within a timely, accurate, compliant and cost effective manner Maintenance and expansion of existing Automation programs to achieve corporate savings goals for all medical cost savings, cost avoidance programs and FTE (Full Time Equivalent) Savings Ensure compliance with all state and federal rules and meet all regulatory reporting requirements where applicable Defining and implementing the Payment Integrity Automation vision, strategy, operating model and capability development Set up and management of a Automation governance framework/ practices Accountability for target technology architecture and solution design approach and its continuous improvement Oversight of the required technology platforms and its continuous improvement/ evolution Management of the virtual workforce on behalf of the business owners; with responsibility for the quality of service provided to the business Managing and reporting on Automation benefit realization to leadership Responsibility for change management and communication to key business stakeholders and leadership Championing automation across the business and build and retain a team of experienced professionals with the capabilities to deliver the Automation Strategy
Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience Considerably experience leading large business and technology programs Excellent leadership experience Strong ability to work with IT teams during initiative development processes Experienced working in a global, matrixed organization Strong conceptual and analytical skills Ability to analyze and translate data to determine financial impact and develop recommendations for action plans Ability to review financial data and translate financial metrics for initiative prioritization Experience working with senior executives/leadership and presenting new processes and recommendations Preferred Qualifications:Experience in Health Insurance industry Strong Reporting/ Analytics skillset Knowledge of medical terminology and coding Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook Solves complex problems and develops innovative approaches Sought out as an expert / key resource on complex and / or critical issues Provides explanations and information to others on complex issues Performs conceptual analysis on system and process issues when project is under consideration Recommends deviations from standards based on data and analysis Leads functional or segment teams or projects Motivates and inspires other team members Collaborate with multiple areas within UHG to develop an excellent working relationship and ensure planned results are delivered.
