Southcoast Health (Fall River, MA) seeks a Director, Laboratory Outreach to oversee, direct and increase outreach laboratory services for the entire health system. This is an opportunity for a dynamic Director to lead their robust and thriving service line, which includes forty-four staff, eleven patient service centers, 400 physician accounts and several nursing homes. This year, laboratory outreach increased by 5 percent. Total Laboratory services generate $250 million in gross revenue for the Health System.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Laboratory & Pathology Services, this Director will partner with fellow lab Directors to advance the mission and vision of Laboratory Services for the health system. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned laboratory executive with extensive experience managing and growing Outreach Laboratory Services. A Bachelor’s degree is required and Master’s degree preferred. ASCP or NCA Certification is required. Experience in a hospital-based laboratory with a large Outreach program is required. Hospital work must include significant hands-on experience with all applicable regulatory agencies (CAP, AABB, FDA, JC, CLIA, State, etc.), as well as fiscal, personnel and project management.
