These projects will come from various groups across the enterprise, and you will be responsible in fulfilling our customers' requirements as well as assisting the other team members with their projects if necessary.Primary Responsibilities:Collaborate in the management of Server Load Balancing and Global Load Balancing in multiple large scale data center networks in a fast-paced environment demonstrating excellence. Develop and deploy solutions to dynamic and challenging problems. Document designs for deployment and support. Provide 3rd level support for unique issues, during normal and after hoursCollaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirementsDemonstrate understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impactMaintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutionsEnsure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectivesIdentify and quantify scope and impact of business changes on systemsFacilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and featuresCommunicate solution options to business owners/stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews)Incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual designsEnsure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans)Identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions, and follow the exception/waiver process as neededMaintain awareness of current technology assets and the capability of eachUnderstand and adhere to architecture Governance frameworkDeliver all project deliverables in scope, on time and on budget
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology, related field OR a High School Diploma plus 10 years of equivalent professional IT experience5+ years of experience with ADC/Load Balancing (design, configuration, troubleshooting; F5 is most relevant platform)3+ years of professional IT experience in a large enterprise environment3+ years of experience in network solution delivery and engineering3+ years of experience handling software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network)Good understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integrationPreferred Qualifications:Graduate degree5+ years of experience with WAN/LAN routing, switching and firewall environmentsNetwork or IT Architecture experienceAgile process management experienceProfessional leadership level experience in a large, enterprise environment influencing others such as IT technical leaders & managersExperience in enterprise class healthcare organizationsExperience with Vendor Management/Daily OperationsCCNP, CCIEExperience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platformsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsTechnology Careers with Optum.
