Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) Position SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Business Process Consultant for our Minnetonka, MN location to The Senior Business Process Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining business requirements for health care systems supporting the compensation calculation and payment process. Duties in this position include (1) automating financial calculations like Net Payable/Receivable, Quarterly Payouts, and Payments used for generating Additional Compensation Program financial statements through SAS; (2) assisting in the design and development of SAS programs required to administer compensation agreements; (3) participating in developing programs and queries to run analytics for the compensation program; (4) run, monitor, and adjust software jobs to ensure appropriate completion; (5) identifying and helping solve potential program and data problems ensuring appropriate follow through and resolution; (6) providing documentation for each process including detailed process flow, input data, requirements, checkpoints, results, validation, and executions process; (7) working on pre-existing macros for data validation by checking data distribution and comparing to standard data; (8) creating pivot tables in Microsoft Excel for SAS datasets for further calculations and tie outs; (9) extracting data from different sources like Access, flat files, and Microsoft Excel through SAS based on business requirements; and (10) utilizing technologies and environments like Microsoft Excel, SAS, and UNIX.
QualificationsMaster's degree or equivalent in Medical Biology, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Health Administration or a related field. 3 years related experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master's program Must also have demonstrated ability with each of the following: (1) SAS (9.2 or higher), SAS/Macro, SAS/ACCESS and Advance SAS programming (complex SAS/SQL, pass through SAS/SQL and advance SAS functions). (2) experience with large datasets (1 M+) and experience in data optimization techniques such as indexing, hash joins and views; (3) querying and reporting out of databases (specifically SQL server, DB2, Teradata and Oracle) and to be able to navigate CICS/Mainframe for membership/claims research; (4) knowledge of healthcare domain, payment Integrity, Medicare programs and basic financial calculations such as surplus/deficit, Net payable/receivable; and (5) this position requires SAS Programmer Certification.
