Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Special Projects Coordinator for the School of Graduate Studies. The Special Projects Coordinator assists in the development and oversight of activities in the areas of Career Development, Postdoctoral Affairs, Academic Data Collection, Grants and new Academic Initiatives.
The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for establishing formal procedures for the collection of data used to analyze academics and for the collection of data required for grant submissions.
The Special Projects Coordinator is responsible for creating new web content and for maintaining the current website.
Assists with the development and submission of training grant proposals for funds from private foundations, corporations and government agencies. Assists in the generation of data for training grant tables. Generates templates for institutional support pages for individual pre-doctoral and post-doctoral fellowships.
Assists in the coordination and development of new education programs for Rutgers Masters and PhD graduate students that include international efforts.
Identifies and develops career planning options and activites for PhD students and post-doctoral fellows, in collaboration with assistant Dean. Provides career counseling including individual and group career counseling to graduate students.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field (Master's Degree preferred), plus a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Excellent Communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in social science and health care research.

PHYSICALDEMANDS: Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing. No special vision requirements. Ability to lift or exert up to 25 lbs.
