Assistant Professor - Tenure Track Family Studies Department of Human Environmental Studies
Teach courses and advise in an CFLE accredited undergraduate family studies program
Teach graduate level courses and advise graduate students
Participate as a team member in curriculum development and maintenance
Maintain active scholarly work
Participate in program, department, college and university service activities
Doctorate or ABD (degree completed by August 2018) in family sciences, human development or related field (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
CFLE certification or willingness to obtain
Experience teaching family studies and trauma related courses
Experience teaching or willingness to teach online courses
Experience utilizing technology in the classroom
Demonstrated ability developing, leading and securing funding for community outreach programs
Demonstrated commitment to scholarship and competency as a scholar
Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the university community
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi- cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
