The University of Washington Medical Center's Cardiology department has an outstanding opening for a part-time, temporary/hourly, ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH TECHNICIAN 2 (ECG Tech 2). The person in this role will perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing to include - 12 lead and 15 lead EKG's, holter monitors, event monitors and stress testing.
Operates and troubleshoots EKG equipment to obtain resting electrocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
Recognizes and troubleshoots patient or electrical artifact on EKG's, prepare and instruct patients for holter and event monitoring, and analyzes the holter monitor data and create reports for physician interpretation
Provide training to nursing and medical staff outside of the department in the routine use of the EKG equipment
Maintains laboratory supplies, completion of daily paperwork and assists patients in the Regional Heart Center
Perform other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS: High school graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience as an ECG Technician I AND certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation AND certified by the National Alliance of Cardiovascular Technologists OR certified within one year from date of hire. OR equivalent education/experience.
