For the last eighty years, the Institute of Design (ID) has been a premier design school preparing leadership talent for innovation and creative enterprises in the private, social and public sectors. Our alumni can be found in leadership roles across corporate in-house and consulting design teams as well as founders of start-ups and design firms.
As a professional graduate school, ID has strong ties with leading corporations, community and government organizations with partnerships ranging from sponsored courses, sponsored research/projects, internship placements, and on-campus recruiting. With the increased demand for design services and a more competitive talent marketplace, ID is in the process of moving from a traditional “push” recruiting and placement model to a more integrated “pull” model where the school and students themselves develop connections and partnerships throughout the program and not just in the graduating year/ semester.
To lead our pull strategy, we are looking for a Director of Community Partnerships (CCP). The role of the Director of CCP is to expand ID’s influence and impact in private, social and civic sector by growing existing and creating new non-tuition funding for the school. The Director will be responsible for all networking, promotion, and business development activities across school-based research programs, executive/professional training programs, student work-based learning (internships, residencies a.o.) programs, and graduate recruiting.
The Director of CCP will work closely with the Dean, the Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Academic Director of Professional Training/ Executive Education programs, and the administrative staff to lead the implementation of our corporate and community partnerships.
