The Human Services and Public Health area of Health and Human Services seeks a Social Worker Unit Supervisor to work within the Parent Support Outreach Program unit. This position will direct the work unit of social workers and social service professionals. The Parent Support Outreach Program unit works towards the alignment of youth and family services across the county with a goal towards early identification of needs and services, better integration, and a coordinated approach for positive outcomes for children, youth, and families. The office location for this position has not yet been determined.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:
Provide leadership, direct supervision, and coaching to a unit of staff responsible for providing PSOP child welfare services.
Participate in determining goals and objectives for PSOP. Monitor outcomes and provide ongoing recommendations for service delivery and implementation.
Administer and enforce the employer/employee labor agreement and Human Resources rules; interpret agency rules, regulations, and policies for staff.
Serve as program lead, subject matter expert, and ensure program compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.
Monitor program funding and revenue in partnership with contract teams, planners, and other stakeholders.

Master's degree in social work or closely related field (or licensed as a graduate social worker by the Minnesota Board of Social Work) and three or more years of experience as a social worker
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or human services, plus 27 or more quarter credits of graduate work in areas such as social work methods, human growth and behavior, principles of social welfare, and four or more years of supervised experience as a social worker
Six or more years of experience as a Senior/Psychiatric/Child Protection Social Worker in Hennepin County
