Chief Medical Officer - Palm Beach Florida Group, Tenet Healthcare Corporation Be a part of Tenet's National Physician Executive team as the Chief Medical Officer for the Palm Beach Group based in Palm Beach County, Florida Tenet Healthcare Corporation is seeking a transformational, innovative, operational and strategic physician executive who will be the clinical leader and will have responsibility for all inpatient safety, quality and clinical outcomes for the company's Palm Beach County Group which is comprised of 5 acute care facilities and approximately 1,700 licensed beds in Palm Beach County Florida including: Delray Medical Center (493 beds), Good Samaritan Medical Center (333 beds), Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center (199 beds), St. Mary's Medical Center (464 beds) and West Boca Medical Center (195 beds). The Chief Medical Officer will report to the Palm Beach County Group's Chief Executive Officer based at Delray Medical Center and have a matrixed reporting relationship to Tenet's Corporate Chief Medical Officer. He/She will be based in Delray, Florida at Delray Medical Center and provide leadership in all aspects of medical affairs for all with particular emphasis on quality, safety, clinical care and efficiency for inpatient activities in all the 5 hospitals in the Palm Beach County Group. The primary objective of this position is to optimize quality of care through rigorous outcomes measurement and performance improvement processes. The Chief Medical Officer also serves as the liaison and resource to management in all the hospitals in the group on matters pertaining to 4 key areas: Medical Staff Governance, Outreach and Engagement which includes collaboration with the medical staff members and overseeing credentialing, OPPE and peer review; Quality, Patient Safety and Experience: assuring performance on quality metrics and securing patient safety and experience; Streamlining Clinical Processes: Adhering to evidence based best practice and working to standardize a Tenet Operating System; Partnering with Nursing Leadership to provide seamless clinical leadership. The Chief Medical Officer is a critical component in that business strategy! Group Chief Medical Officer Qualifications: Board certified MD or DO with current Medical License in good standing. MBA or similar advanced business/management education preferred. Excellent clinician with a minimum of 5 years of clinical and administrative experience. Experience as a CMO or VPMA in a large acute care hospital and or integrated delivery system and Multi-campus experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform in a matrixed reporting environment Demonstrated expertise/accomplishments in and knowledge of evidence based medicine, quality improvement methodology and CMS value based purchasing metrics with a demonstrated track record of creating a "culture of safety" in the organization as well as success in engaging and partnering with clinicians.
