The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Pharmacy invites applications for a new 12-month, tenure track faculty position in the area of Infectious Diseases at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated or emerging track record in clinical or translational science. They will be expected to work with other faculty within the College and UNMC to create an independent externally funded research program. In addition, the application should have a strong commitment to professional education and advancing the profession of pharmacy. Contribution to a clinical practice site is possible, but not required. The position will support the Profession, College of Pharmacy, Nebraska Medicine, and Department through service to committees and professional organizations.
About UNMC: The Department of Pharmacy Practice is one of two departments in the College; it consists of 32 tenure-leading and clinical faculty members and over 400 adjunct faculty members. Areas of research emphasis in the College include: clinical and experimental therapeutics, drug delivery, nanomedicine, drug discovery, pharmacokinetics, molecular biology, and pharmaceutical biophysics. There are 57 students in the graduate program and approximately 60 students in each Pharm.D. class.

This includes programs with established pre-clinical models, companion animal clinical trials, and human subjects research to optimize drug therapies in the area of Infectious Diseases. Faculty also have access to the many Centers, Institutes, and core facilities on campus.
