Participates in the planning, organizing, and evaluating of clinical activities related to Chest Pain Center Program within the hospital and serves as clinical resource.
1.Assists with or provides direct patient care as appropriate. Performs concurrent and retrospective patient review with follow-up as needed2.Responds to cardiac alerts as available to evaluate process, assist as needed. Performs post alert review of cases. Providesassistance of program development.3.Provides staff and physician education development, coordination, and moderating including electronic, live classes, and conferences as well as community education development, coordination, and attending of events. Creates and updates all education resources.4.Review and edit processes, policies, order sets per current guidelines. Performs analysis and keeps data current. Shares metrics with stakeholders and governing bodies5.Works on performance improvement projects. Organizes and leads meetings. Coordinates with system to review and implement changes per guidelines. Performs required continuing education.6.Provides Cardiac alert feedback for all staff, EMS, and physicians. Performs occurrence reviews and follow-up. Develops and maintains relationships with physicians, staff, and others as needed7.Coordinates and leads accreditation review process. Performs accreditation needs to be developed, coordinated, and maintained. Maintains department memberships.8.Performs marketing for program awareness. Participates in cardiac related programs.9.Acts as an expert on chest pain guidelines and current processes.10.Other duties as assigned.11.
