Challenge yourself, your peers and our industry by shaping what health care looks like and doing your life's best work.(sm) Position SummaryWe are seeking an IT Data Analytics Consultant within the Data Management Group of the Finance Division is responsible for developing well-controlled, reliable data processes supporting accurate financial reporting and analytics in support of the financial close for a diverse group of end-users. The IT Data Analytics Consultant participates in the creation of automated processes, data repositories, reporting, and analyses from multiple systems and data sources using a variety of tools, including SAS, SQL, SAS-BI, SAS-VA, and OLAP tools. The IT Data Analytics Consultant orchestrates the modular design, development, deployment, and user-adoption of the Advanced Analytics processes in support of various Finance, Actuarial, and Controller groups. The IT Data Analytics Consultant specific duties include: liaison with business users to clearly define their analytic and reporting needs - set clear and achievable goals and timelines for the project; interface with business leaders and build relationships in support of financial planning and performance measurement including reporting and analysis; work hands-on in SAS (SAS Enterprise Guide) and add new functionality to the tool to meet the needs; leverage the proven UHC SAS Fin360 framework and build fully functional innovative solutions while integrating robust reconciliation and control processes; drive broader adoption of the SAS end-user Business Intelligence Platform including the SAS HPA (High Performance Analytics) capabilities to enable self-service reporting for end-uses; collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact on managed processes in-light of changes migrations in the upstream systems - take remedial actions as necessary; and coordinate with business on behalf of the broader finance organization and leadership.
QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field or related field. 5 years related progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Will accept experience gained concurrently. Must have 12 months demonstrated ability with each of the following: (1) Creating complex reports and dashboards using SAS EG, SAS procedures, and output delivery system; (2) Using advanced analytics experience at large scale and ability to work with large volumes of data and all Relational Data Base Management Systems; (3) developing technical specifications and implementing solutions to fulfill complex business needs; (4) evaluating new analytics tools and methodologies for possible deployment and selecting, recommending and applying appropriate analytic techniques to execute an analysis plan or research objectives; and (5) Writing complex queries using Teradata/Oracle/Sql Server towards data mining and financial reporting.
