Assist the Director of Residence Life with establishing a community that enhances the educational experience of students.
Supervise and train seven to fourteen student staff.
Assist with program planning and execution.
Assist with Advising Residence Hall Government groups.
Coordinate administrative and operational functions.
Maintenance of facilities and safety of residents.
Ensure students follow university conduct policies and take appropriate action when rules are violated.
Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of four (4) years in the field or a related area.
Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Preference will be given to individuals who lived on campus in university owned housing for at least one continuous academic year, with residence hall experience as an RA/RD or was a part of the residence hall government.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ANDABILITIES:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with presentation and training experience.
Demonstrate ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment or crisis situation, utilizing strong critical thinking skills.
Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively through team leadership or committee involvement.
